Before joining our team at The Kronzek Firm, Joshua Pease spent years working as a solo practitioner. But no man is an island, and lucky for us, Josh joined our team and agreed to share his considerable experience with The Kronzek Firm and our clients.
Joshua is a dog lover. Ask him if he has children and he’ll tell you yes – three small furry ones. Ask him what he does on his days off, and chances are, hanging out with his dogs will be one of the first items on the list. Ask him to describe himself in five words and you won’t get ‘energetic, dedicated, hard-working and good listener’ (although they would all be accurate in describing Joshua.) What he’d probably tell you is “perpetually covered in dog fur.”
The other thing that Joshua loves is reading. He reads every chance he gets, and devours books the way a starving man devours a loaf of bread. At home he reads fantasy novels and books about criminal justice issues. At work he reads case history, researches the law, and is constantly fact checking to ensure that our client’s cases are getting the absolute best of every possible option.
In fact, it’s this dedication to detail and insistence on being totally prepared for every outcome that makes Joshua such a good attorney. He is exceptional at explaining things to his clients, and breaks down every detail so that everyone is on the same page at the same time. It may not seem like a big deal at first, but the law can be very complicated, and an attorney who takes the time to make sure that you understand every part of your case is a very valuable asset. Just ask Josh’s clients. It’s something they all appreciate about him.
In some ways, Josh is the quintessential American. He loves baseball, apple pie paired with whiskey, and his wife, whom he describes as ‘astoundingly beautiful and brilliant.’ But there are certain things about Joshua that set him apart from the masses. Things that speak to his unique approach to life. And one of those things is shoes.
Joshua is fanatical about shoes. While the rest of his wardrobe is of mediocre importance, you can be certain that Josh will be wearing top of the line shoes at all times. Why? Because according to Josh, feet matter. Because comfort is important. And because if you’re going to obsess about something in life, shoes are a much healthier option than ….say, pina coladas or cheesecake.
Although Josh grew up in Grand Rapids, he and his wife now call the Lansing area home. However, don’t let the fact that he’s moved from one city to another fool you. Josh isn’t much of a traveller, and if you ever ask him what his favorite vacation destination is, you’ll likely get the same answer we did – “I’ll let you know as soon as I take a vacation!”
Funny as it sounds, though, the fact that Josh rarely takes vacations is a testament to his work ethic and dedication. He is tireless, relentless and phenomenally hard working – traits that have made him a valuable asset to The Kronzek Firm and to our clients. But don’t misunderstand – all that work has not made Josh a dull boy. In fact, he loves to laugh, and his quirky humor and boundless energy have made him a very popular person here at The Firm. All in all, we’re very glad to have him on the team, and we know all of his clients feel the same way.
